Nothing like the picture Jul 27, 2011
By happy reader I received my bookends today and was quite disappointed with the appearance. The bronze finish is nothing as nice as the picture - in fact one of the butterflies is virtually ALL black and the finish is dull. The other looks better in comparison, but again, not as nice as the picture. I gave a GENEROUS 3 stars only because they do function in the way they were intended - but so would a couple of bricks!

By Jazzy J I was so excited to see butterfly bookends. A nice compliment for my book shelf & room. However, when I received them, I was very dissapointed. They didnt have the bronze color that I was hoping for. They are dark & black & you cant really see the butterfly effect. Maybe I'll paint them but hey..they are holding my books. That seems to work!!!

By Jill The "bronze finish" on these is very dull and they look nothing like the picture. They look very cheap but I guess you get what you pay for. I'm sending them back.
