Item is a very unique design and material for a rain gauge - we love it! It's sturdy and attractive in the garden. Not too big, not too small.

I'm very pleased with the Dragonfly Rain Gauge. It comes with a sturdy stake, it's nice looking and the rubber grommet to protect the glass gauge is a nice touch. The gauge is marked in the proper increments, so it's also quite useful. The gauge was packed nicely (no chipping or damage).

Arrived with the top lip of the glass tube chipped due to inadequate packaging, it still fits into the holder, so we are still using it since it would be too much trouble to ship back. Not sure about it's accuracy either, it's cute though.

We needed a rain guage for our garden to keep track of how much water it was receiving. I ordered this one because I like dragon flies, wanted something more decorative, and in our hot Texas sun plastic doesn't last very long and this guage is glass. When it arrived I found it was much prettier than the picture shows and there is great difinition in both the dragon fly and the rod it is perched on. The glass tube holds up to 8" of water which has occured here during hurricane season. There is a rubber, ribbed band at the bottom of the tube that was a bit confusing at first but you have to just slowly work it to the top of the tube and it serves to hold the tube in place when you push it through the holder and keep the glass from rubbing around the rim. The gauge is about 24" but when in the ground about 18". I think anyone would find this a lovely, and functional additon to their garden. I saw this item elsewhere for a lot more money than at Amazon. It came exactly as scheduled and shipped for free. What more could you want! Thank you Amazon!
